If you are driving to Prčanj or Tivat from Croatia, a great way to avoid traffic in Kotor is to take the ferry across the Bay of Kotor from Herceg Novi. Departures are every 20 minutes from 06:00 to 00:00. After 00:00, they leave Kamenari every hour and Lepetane at 30 minutes past each hour.

Owned by JPMD, the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry line connects coastal towns for passenger and vehicle transportation between the municipalities of Tivat and Herceg Novi. The ticket price for residents of Tivat and Herceg Novi is only 3 euros, both during the season (June 1 – September 30) and off season (October 1 – May 31). For tourists, the prices are also reasonable at 4 euros in the off season and 5 euros during the season for small passenger vehicles.
